Aims and scope
The Sunan Ampel Review of Political and Social Sciences (The SARPASS) is an open-access journal that publishes high-quality scholarly work on politics and society, with a particular focus on issues related to Islamic communities in local, regional, and global contexts.
The journal welcomes both conceptual and empirical studies, covering themes such as political thought, governance, democracy, social change, civil society, religion and identity, international relations, conflict resolution, and public policy. Interdisciplinary approaches that combine political science, sociology, anthropology, and related fields are especially encouraged.
The SARPASS aims to serve as a platform for academics, researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and students to share knowledge, foster dialogue, and contribute to the understanding of contemporary political and social dynamics.
By promoting rigorous peer-reviewed research and open access, the journal seeks to advance scholarly debates and provide insights that are relevant to both academic and practical audiences worldwide.
